Day 1 – Göcek to Fethiye

Distance: ~11 nm | Duration: 1–1.5 hrs

We recommend starting your charter in Göcek, the heart of luxury yachting in Turkey. After boarding and settling in, cruise to Fethiye for your first night. Fethiye offers a lively promenade, ideal for a relaxed dinner.

History buffs can explore the Lycian rock tombs above the town or visit the Fethiye Museum for insights into the region’s past. If you’re up for a short land trip, consider a sunset hike to the Tomb of Amyntas for views over the bay.

Day 2 – Fethiye to Gemiler Island

Distance: ~9 nm | Duration: 1 hr

Sail southeast to Gemiler Island, one of the coast’s most atmospheric anchorages. Known for its Byzantine ruins and dramatic views, this island is a quiet retreat perfect for an afternoon ashore.

Swim, snorkel, or hike up to the old churches and tombs scattered across the island. This is also a favorite overnight spot due to its calm waters and protected anchorage.

Day 3 – Gemiler to Kalkan

Distance: ~37 nm | Duration: ~3.5 hrs

A longer but scenic passage takes you to Kalkan, a hillside town with a distinct Greek-Ottoman feel. Wander its cobbled streets lined with whitewashed houses and bougainvillea.

Kalkan is a great provisioning stop, and we recommend dining in town–many rooftop restaurants here offer stunning views. Optional land excursions include the ruins of Xanthos and Letoon, both UNESCO-listed.

Day 4 – Kalkan to Kekova (via Myra)

Distance: ~30 nm | Duration: ~3 hrs

Cruise east to Kekova, known for its crystal-clear water and the sunken city of Simena. Anchor near Kaleköy and take the tender in to explore. Swim above submerged ruins, kayak along the ancient quay, or hike to the fortress for views over the island-dotted bay.

If time allows, arrange a quick car transfer inland to Myra to see the Lycian rock tombs and the Church of St. Nicholas.

Day 5 – Kekova to Kaş

Distance: ~20 nm | Duration: ~2 hrs

Retrace your route west to Kaş, a lively harbor town with great diving and laid-back charm. The town has a strong bohemian feel, and we recommend walking the narrow lanes, visiting the ancient theatre, or diving at one of the local underwater sites.

Kaş is one of the top dive spots in Turkey. For shopping, it’s the best place along this route to pick up Turkish textiles, spices, or handcrafted jewelry.

Day 6 – Kaş to Gemiler Island

Distance: ~46 nm | Duration: ~4–5 hrs

On your return journey, stop again at Gemiler for a relaxed final overnight anchorage. This allows you to enjoy a slower pace after the longer day of cruising. If you didn’t make it up to the ruins on day 2, now’s your chance.

Day 7 – Gemiler to Göcek

Distance: ~19 nm | Duration: ~2 hrs

Cruise back into Göcek through the 12 Islands archipelago—one of the most scenic areas to end your charter. Drop anchor for a final swim and lunch before disembarking. Dalaman Airport is just 20 minutes away, making this route one of the most convenient luxury yacht itineraries in Turkey.
