Can we scuba dive during a Turkey yacht charter?
Leonidas MarousosYacht charter broker, DMA Yachting
Yes. The usual setup is rendezvous diving: a licensed local dive center meets the boat at the day’s bay with tanks and a divemaster, you dive, and the itinerary rolls on. The waters around Bodrum, Kas and the Gulf of Fethiye have reefs, walls and some good wrecks.
Some yachts carry their own gear, though fewer than in the Caribbean, so if diving is central to your week, say so up front and we shortlist accordingly.
No license? Uncertified guests can do an instructor-led discovery dive, shallow and supervised, and the warm, clear Turkish water makes snorkeling over the rocky points rewarding on its own.
