Most Turkish charters start from one of four bases, and which one you choose shapes the whole trip. Bodrum opens the Aegean and its lively scene; Göcek and Fethiye open the sheltered Gulf of Fethiye and the classic Blue Cruise bays; Marmaris sits between the two worlds.

Starting somewhere other than the yacht’s home base is possible but means a delivery fee for the fuel and crew time, and with the coast this rich it rarely buys much. Usually the smarter move is choosing the base that matches the coastline you want.
