Why are Turkey prices shown excluding VAT and APA?

Because the add-ons differ by yacht, so building them into the listed rate would make every price wrong for someone. The predictable part is Turkish VAT, currently 20% on the charter fee, added on top of the base rate.
The variable part is the running cost: on a gulet that is a per-person board package, on a motor yacht an APA of roughly 25 to 35%. Both are money spent on your trip rather than a hidden fee, and APA is refunded where unspent.
